The GAB / John Doe Witch Hunt was worse than you think.
The level of domestic spying done by disgraced former special prosecutor Francis Schmitz, Milwaukee Co. DA John Chisholm, the soon-to-be-disbanded Government Accountability Board and their staffs is far more broad than previously reported.
Well, what do you know. The soon-to-be-history Government Accountability Board and their hackneyed John Doe investigation of Wisconsin conservatives had me in their sights all along.
Yesterday, my former employer let me know that disgraced former Special Prosecutor Francis Schmitz sent me a letter informing me that four years of my emails, online calendar, and all documents stored in the Google Drive cloud had been seized during the John Doe witch hunt. More…

The Cap Times asked me for my take on tonight’s debate.
“There’s no question that August was a brutal month for the Walker campaign, but while the polling numbers have changed since the last debate, the facts here in Wisconsin have not,” said Brian Fraley, a former Republican operative who now owns the Brookfield consulting firm Edge Messaging. “Gov. Walker’s track record of walking the walk is his greatest asset and something he needs to get back to. But, let’s be clear, this isn’t a debate. It’s an 11-person televised interview, and one that will center on the novelty candidate-turned front runner.”

In his most extensive on-camera interview ever, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Dan Bice does not hold back. For example, he reveals that his editors squashed a story regarding improper and illegal activity by a prominent Democratic lobbyist. He praises the work of Media Trackers and Wisconsin Watchdog and admits “It’s good for me when Scott Walker wins.” Seriously. The Dailytakes show starts off with this must-watch interview. Worth every second of your time.

Stories like this bug me to no end.
Over a five-year period that included the near-elimination of collective bargaining in Wisconsin’s public schools, the teacher workforce in metro Milwaukee is smaller, less experienced and still largely white, according to a new report.
The metro region also lost 700 teachers during that time, but that trend was most pronounced in Milwaukee Public Schools, which lost a total of 730, the report said.

Owning and operating a small business means you’re often the first one in and/or the last one out of your office building.
It also means large chunks of your weekends are spent in that same office, working for clients. Here’s a little secret: I love it. My family comes first, but that is why I do what I do. My awesome wife works much harder juggling her job and her oversized role of raising the kids and keeping the home ship afloat. More…
The President and CEO of Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, Kurt Bauer, sits down with me for an in-depth interview this week. What policy initiatives are important to Wisconsin employers, and why does WMC put such a premium on the Freedom of Speech? More…
