AFP Turbocharges Prevailing Wage Repeal Fight

The movement to repeal Wisconsin’s archaic Prevailing Wage law has just heated up, big time.

Americans for Prosperity-Wisconsin is stepping up their efforts.

Today, Americans for Prosperity Wisconsin is announcing the next step in its plan to move Wisconsin forward. AFP Wisconsin is launching a new microsite, GetWisconsinWorking.com, and a statewide online advertising effort targeted at repealing Wisconsin’s outdated, costly prevailing wage laws. The chapter will be reaching out to citizens and its network of 125,000 in-state activists in order to educate them on the benefits of repealing the prevailing wage requirement and encourage them to contact their representatives.

Americans for Prosperity Wisconsin State Director David Fladeboe had the following to say:

“Over the last few years, Wisconsin has certainly come a long way. Together, we’ve created thousands of jobs, stood up for Worker’s Rights, and made Wisconsin a better place to do business. Today, we are announcing the next step in our journey towards a free and more prosperous Wisconsin.

Wisconsin’s backwards and outdated construction laws force schools and local communities to pay dramatically higher rates for construction projects – even when lower costs are available. That’s money that could go back to students or towards other projects to create even more jobs. Repealing this onerous regulation is our logical next step and we’ll be engaging our network of activists to help ensure this important legislation becomes a reality,” AFP Wisconsin State Director David Fladeboe said
